The International Driving Permit does not replace your national licence.
Before renting a scooter, motorcycle or ATV in Kefalonia, make sure your driving licence is valid for the vehicle category you want to drive. Licence rules in Greece may be different from the rules in your home country.
Send us a clear photo of the front and back of your driving licence. Our team will check the categories and restriction codes and confirm which Motoround vehicles you can rent.
The requirements below are the main Motoround eligibility rules. Final approval depends on the actual licence presented and the selected vehicle.
The International Driving Permit does not replace your national licence.
A car licence alone does not automatically permit you to rent a 125cc scooter.
Certain 300cc or higher-performance models may have additional age or experience requirements. Please check with us before booking.
Category A2 is not sufficient for our 650cc motorcycle category.
A motorcycle category may appear on your licence but still contain a restriction that does not allow you to rent a normal two-wheel motorcycle or scooter. Motoround cannot accept the following restriction codes for the relevant motorcycle categories:
If an International Driving Permit is required for your licence, you must carry it together with your original valid national driving licence.
The IDP must show the appropriate vehicle category for the vehicle you wish to rent.
Requirements can depend on the country that issued your licence and the vehicle category.

You must present a valid driving licence with the correct vehicle category at the time of rental.
Provisional, learner or temporary learner driving licences are not accepted for vehicle rental.
Drivers must have previous experience riding the type of scooter or motorcycle they wish to rent.
If you have never ridden with a passenger before, your holiday is not the right time to begin practising two-up riding.
UK drivers must hold the appropriate full A1, A2 or A category without prohibited restriction codes. Provisional licences are not accepted.
Motoround reserves the right to refuse vehicle handover where the licence presented does not meet the requirements for the reserved vehicle.
