Terms & Conditions
1. Driver age & driving licence
The minimum age for driving a scooter is 23 years.
The minimum age for driving an ATV is 25 years.
The driver must hold a valid driving licence or, where required, an International Driving Permit corresponding to the category of vehicle being rented.
The driving licence must be valid and must have been issued in the renter's country of residence at least three years before the rental date.
2. Rental period
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours).
If the rented vehicle is returned later than the agreed return time, the renter may be charged for an additional rental day.
3. Insurance
All rental prices include standard third-party liability insurance.
The renter is responsible for any damage or theft, whether partial or total, caused to the rented vehicle up to the amount of its commercial value at the time of the accident or theft.
Where the renter pays Motoround an amount relating to vehicle damage, any applicable reimbursement will be made only if and when Motoround receives the corresponding compensation.
4. Insurance exclusions
Insurance coverage does not apply in the following circumstances:
- Where the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other prohibited substances.
- For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads.
- For damage to the underside of the vehicle, tyres or wheel rims.
- For accidents caused by a driver who has not been declared in the rental agreement.
- For accidents or incidents that have not been reported to Motoround and for which the renter has not submitted the accident report required under Greek legislation, regardless of fault.
Any amount relating to damage or loss of the vehicle must be paid directly by the renter, even if the renter is separately insured through a debit card, credit card or other insurance provider.
In such cases, the renter is obliged to pay Motoround the full applicable cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle.
5. Fuel
Fuel costs are exclusively the responsibility of the renter.
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was received. Otherwise, the renter may be charged for the missing fuel.
The renter is responsible for using the correct type of fuel specified for the rented vehicle.
6. Breakdown & roadside assistance
Free 24-hour roadside assistance is available throughout Kefalonia.
Damage to tyres, wheel rims and spokes is the responsibility of the renter.
7. Guarantee
A minimum guarantee of €100 or a valid credit card may be required.
8. Payment
Rental charges may be paid in cash or by Visa or Mastercard.
9. Delivery & collection
Vehicle delivery and collection normally take place at our locations and during Motoround's operating hours.
Delivery or collection outside normal opening hours, on public holidays or at locations away from our offices may be possible by prior arrangement.
Delivery or collection outside our offices may be subject to an additional charge payable by the renter.
10. Reservations
A vehicle reservation may require a deposit equal to 30% of the total rental amount, payable in cash or by credit card.
11. Cancellations
In the event of cancellation, the reservation deposit is non-refundable.
12. Traffic violations & fines
All traffic fines, parking fines and administrative penalties incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.
13. Mileage
Unlimited kilometres are included in the rental.
14. Helmets
A helmet is provided to the renter free of charge, subject to availability and suitable sizing.
15. Taxes
All rental prices are subject to VAT in accordance with applicable Greek legislation.
16. Vehicle models & photographs
The vehicle models shown in photographs on the Motoround website are indicative.
The exact colour, version or specification of the vehicle supplied may differ from the vehicle shown online.
17. Vehicle substitution
In special circumstances, Motoround reserves the right to substitute the reserved vehicle with another vehicle of the same category or a higher category.
Changes to terms & prices
Motoround reserves the right to change its rental terms and prices without prior notice.
