Everything you need to know before renting a scooter, motorcycle or ATV in Kefalonia with Motoround.
01 What driving licence do I need?
You must hold a valid driving licence for the category of vehicle you wish to rent.
Depending on your country of residence and licence, an International Driving Permit may also be required.
We recommend sending us a clear photograph of your driving licence before booking so our team can confirm which vehicles you are eligible to drive in Greece.
02 What is the minimum driver age?
The minimum age for renting and driving a scooter is 23 years.
The minimum age for renting and driving an ATV is 25 years.
Licence category and driving experience requirements also apply depending on the selected vehicle.
03 Can I rent a vehicle for only one or two days?
The minimum rental period is one day.
Advance online rental requests are normally intended for rentals of three days or more.
For a one or two day rental, please contact our office approximately one day before the required date so we can check last-minute availability.
04 What insurance is included?
Rental prices include standard third-party liability insurance.
This is not full comprehensive or excess-free insurance. The renter remains responsible for damage or loss as described in the rental agreement and our Terms & Conditions.
Insurance does not apply in circumstances such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use by an undeclared driver or incidents that are not properly reported.
05 Do you deliver vehicles to hotels or other locations?
Yes. Delivery and collection may be available by prior arrangement depending on the location, rental duration and vehicle availability.
Some locations may have an additional delivery or collection charge. We will always confirm any applicable cost before the reservation is finalised.
06 How can I pay?
Rental payments can be made by cash, Visa or Mastercard.
Any payment or reservation requirements will be confirmed with you before the rental.
07 Is a deposit or guarantee required?
A reservation may require a payment of up to 30% of the total rental price.
A minimum guarantee of €100 or a valid credit card may also be required depending on the rental.
08 Are helmets included?
Yes. Helmets are provided free of charge, subject to suitable size and availability.
Please tell us the required helmet sizes when sending your rental request.
09 Is there a kilometre limit?
No. Our rentals include unlimited kilometres, unless otherwise stated in your rental agreement.
10 What happens if the vehicle breaks down?
Motoround provides roadside assistance throughout Kefalonia.
If you experience a mechanical problem or an incident, contact Motoround immediately and follow the instructions provided by our team.
Damage to tyres, rims and spokes caused during the rental is the responsibility of the renter.
11 What is the fuel policy?
Fuel is paid by the renter.
The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as when it was collected. If the fuel level is lower, the missing fuel may be charged.
Always use the correct fuel type specified for the vehicle.
12 What happens if I cancel my reservation?
Where a reservation deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
If your travel plans change, contact us as early as possible.
13 Can someone else drive the rented vehicle?
Only drivers declared and approved in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
An accident involving an undeclared driver may not be covered by the applicable insurance.
14 Can I use the rental vehicle on unpaved roads?
Damage caused while driving rental vehicles on unpaved roads is excluded from the standard insurance coverage.
Please follow the permitted-use conditions in your rental agreement and ask our team if you are unsure about a route.
15 What information should I send for a rental request?
To help us confirm your rental quickly, please send:
- Your preferred vehicle.
- Pick-up and return dates and times.
- Pick-up or delivery location.
- A clear photograph of the driver's licence.
- Your phone or WhatsApp number.
- Helmet sizes where required.
- Your flight number if airport delivery is requested.
